Think of the color blind

Rafael Irizarry

About 10% of the population is color blind. Unfortunately, the default colors used in visualization packages are not optimal for this group. However, it is easy to change the color palette used in the plots. An example of how we can use a color blind friendly palette is described here: a colorblind-friendly palette.

Here are the colors

A set of color-blind friendly colors that can be used in graphs to make them more accessible. From left to right, colored dots are assembled in a row, colored as follows. Grey, mustard yellow, cyan blue, emerald green, yellow, blue, dark orange, and dark pink.
